Esteban V5N (meaning Eastvan) is underreported news, views, arts and culture by, for and about the diverse communities of East Vancouver. As an IntraNation, Esteban shares many elements of other diasporic urban spaces where people currently or historically meet and share ideas and culture. Esteban V5N is blackenese urban contemporary public access television that realizes that contemporary urban cultural movements of the mainstream (like hip hop) started in backyards and basements of other similarly impoverished but culturally rich neighbourhoods like Compton, Oakland, East L.A., Brooklyn and Harlem.
